Welcome to the Protected Crops sector pages. Until 2009, the
Protected Crops sector served the interests of growers producing both
protected salad and protected ornamental crops. When HDC became a
division of the statutory levy body, the AHDB, the Protected Crops panel
was split to create a Protected Edibles panel and a Protected
Ornamentals panel.
From 2009, all research on protected crops will be segregated into
these two new panels and all projects will be prefixed with PE or PO.
All past projects on Protected Crops (prefixed PC) are still available
for viewing on this page, along with related information.
